Welcome aboard Seven-0-Seven Operations and our moving museum with a steam locomotive(*)  hauling heritage carriages to Seymour on Saturday 29 April 2023 for Seymour's Tastes of the Goulburn Festival, which celebrates the finest food and wine from one of Victoria's best-kept secrets - the Goulburn Valley. Throughout the day, there will be much to see, do and explore - from regional entertainment to sampling local wines and tasting gourmet treats and fun kids activities all day!

Joining our annual heritage steam train travelling from Melbourne (Southern Cross, Essendon and Craigieburn) to Seymour for the Tastes of the Goulburn Festival. Our historic steam train (*) will depart Southern Cross Station in the heart of Melbourne at 8.25 am stopping along the way to pick up passengers at Essendon (8.40 am) and Craigieburn (9.00 am) before tackling the steep grades of the Great Dividing Range to Seymour. It will arrive in Seymour at 10.15 am, with the festival right only a few paces from where you leave the train!

Guests on board this train will have over 4 hours to explore Seymour's Tastes of the Goulburn Festival and its many attractions before returning to Melbourne. Held in Station Street at Seymour, the event celebrates the many wonderful attributes of the Goulburn Valley. Music will be provided by a variety of bands and there will be entertainment for the kids and adults can sample local gourmet food and wine. All of our passengers will have entry to the Festival as well as a sampling glass as part of your fare. OUR TRAIN TO SEYMOUR:

Your train to the Tastes of the Goulburn at Seymour will feature air-conditioned open saloon and compartment type carriages with ample room for all guests to spread out and enjoy the excursion.

Our heritage train & excursion features:

- An all air-conditioned train with open saloon style seating or compartment seating for groups

- Relaxed vintage travel atmosphere

- On-board cafe

- 1950's steam hauled train (*)

The train departs Seymour at 3.15 pm, returning to Melbourne, stopping at Craigieburn at 4.20 pm, Essendon at 4.45 pm and finally Southern Cross at 5.00 pm.

* As always note the locomotive and carraiges on our trains are subject to change due to operational requirements. A diesel locomotive will replace the steam engine if fire restrictions are in place within any of the regions for which this train journey passes.
