2019 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival

Join 707 Operations on our mainline steam hauled heritage train from Melbourne's Southern Cross Station to Geelong for the 2019 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival at the Geelong waterfront or spend the day exploring Geelong's cafes, restaurants, galleries, museums or craft breweries and distilleries. The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is a celebration of Geelong's motoring history. First run in 1956, the Geelong Sprints were modelled from the Brighton UK speed trials. The program at the Geelong Revival Motor Festival is huge, with lots to see and do for the whole family. The Sunday event traditionally showcases more vintage vehicles. Enjoy the Demo Track at Transvaal Square, Motorcycle Mecca at Customs Lawn, the Revival Motor Expo at Eastern Beach Reserve and Pit Access at The Pits.
Don't miss out on the 12.30 pm Quarter Mile Sprints, an event that is a highlight of the festival.
For the ladies, there is The National Vintage Fashion Awards from 12.00 pm at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
This is a rare opportunity to travel to Geelong with our heritage steam for a day out.
Lounge Carriage Victoria
Our standard class carriages will feature open saloon and compartment style seating areas in carriages which date from the 1950's. Out licenced cafe carriage and lounge carriages will be attached and is available for all passengers throughout the journey serving a wide range of beer, wines and spirits along with light snacks and tea and coffee.

Compartment and Open Saloon Seats
This train will departing Southern Cross station 9.30 am, picking up additional passengers at Footscray (9.40 am) before arriving into Geelong at 11.00 am.
The return journey will depart Geelong station at 3.00 pm, and arrive back into Southern Cross Station at 4.25 pm, with a stop at Footscray Station at 4.15 pm to set down passengers.
